ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute strategic plans for the company's base station operations, aligned with overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for expansion, improvement, and optimization of base station infrastructures.

Oversee the deployment, installation, and commissioning of base stations. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Implement preventive maintenance programs and manage corrective actions to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize the performance of base station networks. Monitor network parameters, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance coverage, capacity, and quality of service. Drive initiatives to reduce interference and optimize network efficiency.

Develop and manage the operational budget for base station activities. Allocate resources effectively, ensuring cost control while maintaining high-quality services. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

Establish and maintain relationships with equipment vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely delivery of equipment and services. Resolve any vendor-related issues or disputes.

Lead and manage a team of base station engineers, technicians, and operational staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment to achieve operational goals.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards in all base station operations. Implement safety procedures, conduct regular audits, and promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as network planning, sales, and customer service teams to align base station operations with broader business objectives. Provide support and guidance to address customer requirements and resolve operational issues.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in base station operations. Identify areas for operational enhancements, process automation, and cost-saving measures. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to optimize base station performance and efficiency.

Develop and maintain operational performance metrics and reports. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to base station operations and provide regular updates to senior management. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.

Extensive experience in base station operations, preferably in the telecommunications industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of base station technologies, network deployment, and maintenance.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to base station operations.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Budgeting and resource management expertise.

Vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
